SPRINGVILLE, Utah (AP) — The cemetery headstone for a teenager who died in a car wreck was repossessed after a $750 bill went unpaid.
“That’s just business,” said Linda Anderson of Memorial Art Monument. “If we give every stone to everybody, we’d be out of business. They’d repossess your car if you didn’t make payments.”

OK, I may be way off from a business sense here but this is just cold and simply wrong. I understand that they run a business but this is not a car or a house we are talking about. Someone’s dead here. Is there no respect in the world anymore?
I’m thinking there has got to be a better way. And even still, if they have no success with acquiring payment, sometimes a business has to just eat their loss to make a good statement.
Can you imagine the negative word-of-mouth marketing this business will get? Where do we draw the line? Casket repossession? What if your plot goes unpaid for once you’re dead? Amazing what greed does to people!

At a stop on the couple’s Soul2Soul tour Saturday, a female fan grabbed Tim McGraw in the crotch area as he walked between a barricade and the stage to greet fans. Faith Hill was not pleased.

The country star chastised the fan: “Somebody needs to teach you some class, my friend,” she tells the fan. “You don’t go grabbin’ somebody else’s, somebody’s husband’s [private parts], you understand me? That’s very disrespectful.” See more HERE

You go girl! I would have done the same. Too often we as a society are forced to be politically correct and overly kind when in a celebrity status. I think she done good.

But the incident got me to thinking about how I would react if I were Tim. I mean think about it, you have just performed for some 40,000 fans, you’re tired and just want to get back to your bus and chill a bit when a fan walks up and grabs your crotch! Now speaking as a guy, this may not always be so bad. You know us guys are dogs and enjoy being fondled right? Well, honestly, even if this may have been the slightest bit flattering, once you have allowed one fan to do it, imagine the fall-out from that!

Interesting thing is that if a male fan did it to a female celebrity, he would immediately be cuffed, stuffed and charged. Funny how that works huh? But I would probably have to address the issue not only as a public address but also to the fan as well. I would talk to them personally, (from a distance of course!) and let them know that even though they probably didn’t mean anything lude, it was just not very respectful.

Now I know that deep down inside all you guys are thinking that it would be awesome to have female fans grabbin’ your package but come on, think about it. Eventually once the crotch-grabbing fad caught on at your concerts, you’d have a world of problems!

How do you feel about this. If you were a celeb, would you think it ok to have fans grab your “gucci” or fondle your finkleman? Or would you immediately rush to the safety of your bus and conduct all future concerts via “satellite?”

See, I’m not in favor of the idea for most criminals. Let’s take, for instance, the six Bulgarian health care medics who were convicted of infecting a large amount of children with the HIV virus. Why they did it is not the issue here although it’s also an interesting discussion too. What happens to them now is what I’d like to focus on. Life or death?

Here’s how I see it. The death penalty is not much of a punishment for most. The vast majority of criminals that commit grizzly crimes like this really have no remorse about anything in the first place. They don’t care if they were to die. That said, putting them to death may be a closure of the situation for the victims but is it really a true punishment? They may want to die and that will just expedite their reincarnation. But I won’t get into that cuz that’s a whole other Oprah show topic there.

Naw, I say let’s put them on a remote island. Or hell, if we can build oil platforms in the middle of the ocean, why not prison facilities. But not just the typical prison type atmosphere. They don’t need T.V and basketball courts. They killed people for Pete’s sake.

How about this. We implement a secure factory on our new platform prisons and let them recycle our trash! Or let them grow our organic fruits and veggies. Let’s have them create our clothing in their new sweat shops. Why not have them work all day doing the things that we don’t care to do and do it cheaply so our cost is minimal for the product? Heck we could actually force them to be productive members of society this way, well indirectly anyhow.

I don’t know, but I feel pretty strongly about this subject. How about you? What do you think? If I ruled the world this is probably what I would do. But until I do rule it …..I guess I’ll just write and rant about it for now.
